13th annual run and walk against hunger

The Emergency Food Bank invites you to join us for the 13th Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017. Proceeds from this annual event helps the Emergency Food Bank continue to deliver services to families in need.

There are children who cannot concentrate in school because they have not eaten. There are working parents who sacrifice their own nutrition needs so that their children can have something to eat. There are seniors who have to choose between buying food or buying needed medicines. There are working people who sometimes run out of money to purchase healthy food.

Hunger and malnutrition are two of the largest crises facing our communities. There are thousands of people who depend on food from the Emergency Food Bank every week to provide healthy food for their families. We at the Food Bank provide families, seniors, Veterans, and the working poor, with nutritional food designed to provide three to four days of healthy meals. In 2016, the Emergency Food Bank provided over 6 million pounds of food to over 200,000 San Joaquin County residents. Additionally, we supply 27 community-based organizations with food for distribution and visit 58 sites throughout San Joaquin County with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Register for the 13th Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger and be a part of making a difference in the lives of others.
