BAND ON THE RUN

The Annual Band on the Run 5k Run/Walk was started in October of 2014 by an enthusiastic group of Worcester parents and staff. This event has consistently raised funds for the WCS music program, and continues to promote school spirit throughout all ages.

Chipped race begins at 1PM
Packets available Oct 14th 11AM – 12:30PM
Registration available Oct 14th 11AM – 12:30PM
Dinner available Oct 14th 1:00PM – Sold out

EVENT COST

Preregistration $25/adult, $10/student (18 and under), $60/family (max 6 people).
additional $5 convenience fee will be charged.
T-shirts guaranteed for first 150 participants

PARKING

Parking is limited, so please carpool. The following lots are available:
- Behind Worcester Central School
- Behind Citizen’s Bank off Decatur Street

SCHOOL

Passionate educators and staff are hard to come by in today’s learning environment, but Worcester Central is the home of many who are willing to go the extra kilometer (or five) for their students

COMMUNITY

Community support is crucial to this event and so many others hosted by and for the school each year. The Band on the Run 5k was dreamt up by members of the Worcester community as a way to raise public enthusiasm for our music program.

MUSIC

Music sets Worcester Central apart from many other rural schools. Our band program has won hundreds of awards in the past decade, and – with support from our community – hopes to add to the collection
