HOMEWARD BOUND WALK AND 5K RUN

Homeward Bound is an annual event that takes place to raise funding for and awareness about affordable housing and homelessness. The event is organized and governed by a local steering committee made up of dedicated community leaders. Every dollar raised goes directly to the benefiting agencies of HomesteadCS, LTHC Homeless Services, Family Promise, and PATH.

The 2018 Homeward Bound Walk and 5K Run will be held on Sunday, April 22nd at Memorial Island at Columbian Park.

The Homeward Bound Walk is an approximately 2-mile non-competitive walk and the 5K Run is 3.1-mile professionally chip timed event.

Both events will take place rain or shine. Water will be available during the 5K run and free food and refreshments will be provided for participants of the walk and run beginning at noon!

Runners, walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, and dogs on leashes without a history of aggression are welcome. Please no bikes, skateboards or rollerblades.

Chip timed 5K Run with shirt (Ages 11 and Up): $25.00 for pre-registration or $30.00 on race day

Chip timed 5K Run without shirt (Kids 10 and Under): Free

Homeward Bound Walk: Free but individual and team donations are encouraged since this is a fundraising event. Every walker who donates at least $25.00 will receive a t-shirt.

In addition to at least a $25.00 donation, we ask that each walker shoots to raise at least $125 by asking friends and family to support you by contributing to your fundraising goal. IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING WALK REGISTRATIONS: The Homeward Bound Walk is a way to raise money to end homelessness and provide stable housing for people in our community. We encourage everyone to come together to support this cause!
