DURANGO UPDATE: It is with great disappointment that we are making the official decision to cancel Round 4 in Durango, CO.
As most of you are aware, the 416 wildfire north of Durango caused the postponement of the race, which was originally scheduled for July 14-15. The fire burned for 61 days affecting 50,000 acres. We truly believed that by moving to the new August date the forest and trails would be accessible, but areas are still smoldering, mudslides are occurring and the threat of flooding is present.
Our primary goal is always to provide an epic course and a safe race for all our athletes. We were looking forward to hosting an incredible, two-day race in Durango, however, the limited trails we have available to use don’t live up to the standard we are committed to maintaining for the series.
If you have registered for Durango, you have three options:
- Donate your registration fee to the Durango Trails 2000 nonprofit trails organization. We will match the first $1,000 in registration donations. Additionally, we will be rewarding a few randomly selected donors with SCOTT and Vittoria product as an extra incentive.
- Transfer your entry to Park City, UT on August 25-26 at no cost
- Receive an 80% refund
Please email email@example.com to select an option.
On behalf of the entire team at the SCOTT Enduro Cup presented by Vittoria, we thank you for your patience and understanding. This has been a difficult decision and we look forward to racing Durango in the future.
Enduro Cup makes its inaugural stop in Durango for the fourth round of the 2018 season. Surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, Durango and Purgatory Resort boast some of the most beautiful riding in the state. Spruce and aspen forests cover the high alpine and wildflowers bloom in mountain meadows. Riders can expect beautiful climbs, abundant wildlife
and technical descents through this southwest Colorado playground.
Round 4 will feature pedal and lift-accessed racing at Purgatory Resort. Purgatory has deep downhill roots, having played host to the first-ever World Mountain Bike Championships in 1990. The SCOTT Enduro Cup presented by Vittoria in Durango, CO is Aug. 11-12, 2018.
