Lewiston Community Lions Club has organized the Strides Diabetes Awareness and 5k Run to bring the community together to support the fight against diabetes! We will be providing FREE diabetes screenings, eye screenings, foot screenings, yoga instructions, nutritional guidance. Come to the 5k Run and help the Lewiston Lions Support the fight against Diabetes! Help us raise awareness of diabetes and its serious complications.
Please join us on Sunday April 29, 2018 at 9:00AM in historic Lewiston, New York for the Strides Diabetes Awareness and 5K Run/Walk! The event is being brought to you by the Lewiston Community Lion's Club and 100 % of the proceeds from the race will be used to send children with Type 1 Diabetes to Camp Badger (a camp for children with diabetes) and our other charitable activities. After the race, join us inside Lewiston Fire Hall #1 beginning at 10:00am for a variety of wellness activities and stations related to diabetes awareness and screening, health and nutrition, and advice from medical professionals. The wellness event is free to the general public!

The 5K race will start and finish on Onondaga Street behind the fire hall. Links to the interactive course map are located at the top of the page. There will be one water stop located midway through the course and bottled water will be handed out at the finish line.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place inside the fire hall from 8:00am right up until the start of the race at 9:00am. Custom race shirts guaranteed to all participants who register before 4/16/18. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Registration Fee: $25 / $30 after 4/15/18
Join us after the race inside the fire hall for a post race celebration including light food, snacks, Wellness Fair, and the awards ceremony.
There will be plenty of free parking within walking distance of the fire hall.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers and awards will be presented to the top three male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
