Mount Saint Mary's 5K River Run and Cardio Craze Walk

Mount St. Mary’s is pleased to announce the merging of two great events into one! The 15^th Annual River Run 5K and 5^th Annual Cardio Craze Wellness Walk will collectively take place on Saturday June 18,2016. Both events are family friendly and the Cardio Craze Walk is dog friendly!

River Run 5K

This great event is now race #3 of the DiMino Lower Niagara Running Series. The River Run was established back in 2002, and proceeds from the run go to the Mount St. Mary’s Center of Sports Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation department. The funds will help to purchase equipment to better serve our patients and the community at large.

Cardio Craze Wellness Walk

This is a fun event for you and man’s best friend! The Cardio Craze Wellness Walk was established in 2012 to benefit the Mount St. Mary’s Cardiology department. Walkers are encouraged to bring their dog to participate in the walk and “informal dog show.” Your “best friend” has the opportunity to win prizes while you enjoy music and refreshments.

*Dogs must be leashed and kept under control of the owner at all times for the safety of others.

START/FINISH

The River Run 5K and Cardio Craze Wellness Walk start and finish at the Red Brick School in Lewiston. The 5K course offers flat terrain with scenic views of the Lower Niagara River and area neighborhoods. The wellness walk takes you through the Village of Lewiston. Walkers will proceed east along the north side of Center Street, cross at Portage Road, and return on the south side of Center Street.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP

Online registration will be open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at the Red Brick School from 7:30 am until the race at 9:00 am. Official River Run dry-fit shirts will be guaranteed to all runners registered by 6/12/16. Extra shirts are available on race day and will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis. Cardio Craze tie-dyed t-shirts are provided to the walkers.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Join us after the race for a post-race celebration including snacks, refreshments, music and awards.

PARKING

There will be plenty of free parking within walking distance from the start/finish line.

RIVER RUN AGE GROUPS & AWARDS

5K Awards will be presented to the 1^st place overall male and female finishers along with top three male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups:

14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
