WHAT: This 5 mile course will be on the beautiful Linear Trail in Ephrata/Akron, near Winter's Plaza.

The course is fast, relatively flat and will be chip-timed by Alpha & Omega Sports.
WHERE: The race will start at the intersection of Fulton and Maple Streets and continue down Fulton Street and onto the Linear Trail. The race will head west on the trail to a turn-around point and return to the finish line at the Winter's Memorial/Fulton Trail Parking area. Walkers start and finish at The Winter’s Leadership Memorial Statue.
HOW: Applicants may pre-register online at www.alphaandomegasports.com or use the included entry form, until Wednesday November 7th, 2018 at midnight.
After that, registration will be available on the day of the race.

REGISTRATION/FEES: Register online at www.alpha&omegasports.com and click Race Calendar (there will be a small processing fee) or use the entry form included in this brochure. Mailed in forms MUST BE POSTMARKED by Wednesday October 24th in order to guarantee a shirt and to purchase a Veteran Honor Sign.
NOTE: Shirts are guaranteed for all 5 mile run early registrants. Remaining shirts will be given to registered 5 mile run participants on a first-come, first-served basis, honoring size requests to the best of our ability.
Sponsorships: All runners and walkers are encouraged to obtain personal sponsorships to add to their registration fee. This will enhance our ability to offer more services to veteran families. Awards will be given to the top 3 participants who raise the most sponsorship dollars!
Patriot Way 5 Mile Run

To honor our Veterans:
- Veteran Honor Sign: For $30, a sign will be made with the name of a veteran you wish to honor. Signs will stand along the course during the run/walk and are yours to keep afterward. Go online to bit.ly/5mileCErun to purchase your sign(s).
- A portion of the proceeds from this Run/Walk event will go to support local veterans and their families.
- Wear red, white and blue on the day of the run!
Early Check-in and Packet Pick Up: Friday November 9th from 6pm-8pm at Ephrata Church of the Brethren,
201 Crescent Ave, Ephrata, PA 17522. You may also check-in and pick up your packet at the venue on race day at registration.
Results: Start/Finish line, chip-timing services and award determination by Alpha & Omega Sports. Results posted on www.alphaandomegasports.com.
Prizes: Trophies for Overall Male & Female champions. Medals to the top three male & female finishers in the following age brackets: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70+. Walk participants will receive a goody bag while supplies last.

Race cancellation policy:
The C.E. Patriot Way 5 Mile Run Committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel the race in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
We will make every effort to hold the race as scheduled; however, the safety of participants and volunteers is of paramount importance. In addition, if we are informed by local authorities that conditions are too dangerous, we may postpone or cancel the race.
In such cases, race fees will not be refunded. Free or reduced entry to next year’s race may be provided at the discretion of the race committee.
Please provide a valid email address on the registration form in the event that we need to communicate important information regarding the race. We will use email and update our Facebook page and website should the need arise.
