5k run/walk to benefit Common roots Brewery and the Riverkeeper
About this Event
The River Run for the Roots is a 5K run/walk from the Common Roots Brewery. This looped course will start/finish in the Park and Ride lot behind Common Roots. The scenic course winds through the village of South Glens Falls, including the Betar Byway along the Hudson River. The race will be a joint fundraiser for the Riverkeeper, a local organization seeking out polluters and teaming with citizens scientists and activists to reclaim the Hudson River. We will also raise money to support Common Roots and their staff after the fire that has damaged the brewery. Come join us after the race and enjoy a beer and some refreshments.
Start/Finish
The Race Start is directly behind Common Roots Brewery in the Park and Ride Parking lot. Registration will occur under the tent near the finish.
Registration and Packet Pickup
The Day of Race Registration will begin at 9 AM in the Park and Ride Parking lot behind Common Roots. Day of race registration closes at 10:45 AM.
Schedule of Events:
9:00 AM - Registration Begins
11:00 AM - Race / Walk begins
12:00 Noon - Post race celebration, awards, and refreshments.

There is plenty of parking in the Park and ride Parking lot directly behind Common Roots
