The Howard's Medical Army Base Race allows runners to run onto a United States Army Base. The Yakima Training Center will have military equipment stationed along the running route on the base and have some displays down at Carlon Park. After the race there will be music and food at Carlon Park. The awards for fastest runners will be given out at 11:45am at Carlon Park as well.
This year the Japanese Army will have 200 plus participants entered into the race. The Japanese are extremely fast and have taken top times each year they have participated. Come out and challenge them and yourself and see if you can take home gold! All runners get dog tags for participating in the event and top finishers take home trophies made from fired artillery shells. This is truly a one of a kind event, come out and have a blast in Selah.
