The Into the Wild Running Festival is a fundraising event to support the more than 450 rescued animals at The Wild Animal Sanctuary!
In addition to raising money for a wonderful cause, the Into The Wild Running Festival includes three fantastic running and walking events held on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018:
- The Limitless Lion Competition 5K Certified Race - 7:00AM start
- The Tireless Tiger 10K Certified Race - 7:15AM start
- The Jaguar Jaunt 5K Family Fun Walk/Run - 8:00AM start
Please note: We now have the exciting option to register as a Race Walker! If you would like to participate as a Race Walker, please register for our Limitless Lion 5K and email heather@wildanimalsanctuary.org or jessica@wildanimalsanctuary.org to inform us of this specification.
EVENT DETAILS:
- All events will start and finish on the grounds of The Wild Animal Sanctuary! Start and finish lines are within easy walking distance from The Sanctuary's new 48,000-square-foot Welcome Center and free on-site parking!
- Events take place entirely on dirt and gravel courses - your legs will love it!
- Beautiful, scenic courses weave between Lion, Tiger, Bear and other wild animal habitats and through the tranquil eastern Colorado countryside!
- Fantastic selection of free food, beverages and live music!
- Top-of-the-line tech shirt & running cap included with each paid race registration!
- Custom finisher medals and hundreds of trophies for paid participants of all ages!
- Free entrance to The Wild Animal Sanctuary's "Mile Into The Wild Walkway" for all paid registrants on the day of their event!
- Participation in any event gives you the opportunity to raise money to help the more than 450 rescued animals at the Sanctuary! Ask friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you in raising money for some amazing creatures!
REGISTRATION NOTES:
- Registration for all events will close on May 29th at 11:59pm, no exceptions. Register early to guarantee your shirt size!
- Children 12 years of age and under may participate in the Jaguar Jaunt Family Fun Walk/Run for free - but still need to register - and they will not receive a shirt, hat, participation medal or free entrance to the Mile into the Wild Walkway. If you want your child to receive these items, they must pay the registration fee. Paid registration for all other races is required regardless of age.
