Spring into Summer 5K Run/Walk, will be a partnership with the Martin Luther King Center and Rock Island Library. Our three organizations are committed to summer enrichment, and all proceeds from the race go to camps which together, will serve over 500 children this year!

Spring into Summer 5K Run/Walk

Spring Forward Learning Center’s 5th annual Spring into Summer 5K will be held on May 20, 2017. The run/walk starts at 9:15 a.m. at beautiful Sunset Park in Rock Island, Illinois. The course is fast, flat, and has scenic views of the Mighty Mississippi. All 5K participants receive chip-timing (J3 timing) and a race t-shirt (adult sizes only). The kids race will be held prior to the 5K for children 12 and under beginning at 9 a.m. 

Spring Forward provides free out-of-school time programs to individuals in Rock Island and Milan, Illinois who are in need of academic assistance. Our programs include after-school and summer enrichment programming for children and adult literacy programs for English Learners. The out-of-school time and literacy programs help children and families by inspiring learning, providing safe and supportive environments, and giving students the essential supports they need to succeed.

Friday, May 19th, 4pm-7pm at Rooster's Bar & Grill (2130 3rd Ave., Rock Island, IL 61201)

Race Morning: 7:30am-8:45am Sunset Park (Main Shelter 18th & 31st Ave., Rock Island)

Early Bird: $25 (through Apr. 30th)

Regular: $30 (May 1-May 19)

Race Day: $40 (May 20)

Kids Race: $15 (includes t-shirt and bib)

In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather registration fees will be considered a tax refundable donation to Spring Forward Learning Center.
