5K fundraiser to purchase a second digital projector for the Downing Film Center in Newburgh, NY
Why we are having this fundraising race:
In the last year the Downing Film Center has purchased a digital projector to comply with the new standards in high definition movies available to us. In our first “Drive to the Digital” we have raised over $65,000 which has almost paid for the digital projector.
Now in an effort to show even more high quality independent films we are refurbishing the upstairs section of our building and putting in a second screen. We will need to purchase another digital projector. The money we will be raising from this race will help us to pay off the loans we will be taking out to pay for the refurbishing and for the new digital projector.
