CASEY COUGAR COUNTRY 5K
TRAIL RUN/WALK

This is the First Annual Casey Cougar Country 5k that will take place on Sunday, October 25 at 1:00pm in East Amherst. The race will start and finish at Casey Middle school located at 105 Casey Road, East Amherst, NY 14051.

The race is being organized by the Casey Middle PTSA Committee in an effort to raise funds for it's general fund at Casey. The committee is in the process of soliciting sponsors and will announce a wide range of kid friendly activities that will take place before, during, and after the race.

PARKING AND PACKET PICKUP

Plenty of free parking will be available at Casey Middle and Williamsville North High school located at 105 Casey Road, East Amherst, NY 14051. Packet pickup will take place inside Casey Middle school from 11:30am right up until the start of the race at 1:00pm.

START AND FINISH LINE

The race will start and finish on the field located between Casey Middle and Williamsville North High school. Runners will finish running one lap on the Casey Middle school track allowing friends and family to cheer them on as they complete their run.

THE COURSE

The Casey Cougar Country 5k is a trail run that will take you on an exhilarating and challenging Fall Cross Country run/walk through the backyards of our very own Cougar Country. Imagine running through the beautiful and colorful Fall foliage in October with the cool crisp air giving you the inspiration to complete and conquer the North Peanut Trail. This isn't just a race but an experience sure to get anyone in the mood to run and connect with those in their community.

WATER STATIONS & RESTROOMS

There will be at least one water station on the course and bottled water will be provided to all runners after crossing the finish line. Restrooms will be available at the start/finish line.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Plan on sticking around after the race for snacks, refreshments, and the awards ceremony.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS

Awards will be presented to the first place overall male and female finisher along with the top male and female runner in the age groups shown below.

9 and under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over

TIMING

Gun Start/Chip Finish using Jaguar Electronic RFID timing by Race Management Solutions. Results and times will be updated throughout the race and can be accessed at our finish line kiosk immediately after crossing the finish line or via our mobile app (ITSYourRace) which can be downloaded onto your Smartphone or Android from the App Store at no charge.

Runners can register online by selecting the "Register Now" button on the top of this page. Paper applications will be available on race day.
