The 23nd annual Frigid Five will take place Saturday, February 10 at Mitch Park in Edmond. This year’s race is hosted by Precision Timing Solutions and will benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
For 20 years, the Frigid Five was hosted by the Edmond Running Club until they disbanded in 2015. Friends and family asked long time runner Bronda Williams if they could keep the popular race going. This will be the third year Williams, owner of Precision Timing Solutions, has hosted the original cold weather race in central Oklahoma.
Runners and families can participate in either the five mile sanctioned race or the one mile run/walk. The five mile run starts at 9 a.m. followed by the one mile run. Winners of the race will be awarded prizes in each age group.
