Event:
The Charles Town WV Day 5K is a race/walk through some of the most prominent Arts and Cultural locations in Charles Town. Participants will run/walk a course that highlights the historic Happy Retreat, a John Brown site and Fisherman’s Hall among other locations.
After the race, enjoy the Arts and Heritage Festival featuring vendors and artisans from around the region.
Race Day Registration will be $35. Register before June 8th to reserve your free T-Shirt!
Course:
All 3.2 miles of the course consists of paved town streets. Much of the course is out and back. You will see the entire field pass you in the opposite direction throughout the course. Feel free to high-five and encourage each other. Experienced and beginners alike will find this course a lot of fun.
Race Day Registration opens at 8:30
Race Day Registration closes at 9:40
Race Begins at 10:00
Awards Ceremony at 11:00
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards will be given for the top male and female finisher in each of the following age groups.
19 and under
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70+
Participants can only receive one award.
Additionally, there will be a Weight Vest Category where the top male and female finishers will be awarded!
First 200 runners will receive a Blue or Gold Headband with their entry. Wear them to show your WV Pride!

Located at the intersection of Lawence and Washington St.
Parking:
Parking is on town streets and in public lots.
Spectators:
Line up along Lawerence St. to cheer on the finishers.
