Running for the Arts 5K

About this Event

On Saturday, May 6, runners and walkers will gather at the Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum to participate in Spring Branch Education Foundation’s 25th Annual Running for the Arts 5K (RFA). RFA proceeds will be used by SBEF to fund cultural arts field trips for SBISD students in elementary and middle schools. The district’s Health Fitness Association also will receive funding to award scholarships to students and teachers.

RFA will begin at 8 a.m. for competitive runners; 5K walkers will follow. The Kids K (non-competitive run for participants in 8th grade or younger) will begin at 9 a.m.

 

Race Packet Pickup and Registration:

Walk-up Registration and Packet Pickup will be held in the front entry of the Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum (901 Yorkchester, Houston 77079) on Thursday, May 4 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on Friday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Race Day packet pickup will begin at 6:30 a.m. and will end promptly at 7:30 a.m. No packets will be handed out after 7:30 a.m. Please arrive early and plan accordingly.

***THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION ***

 

If running in the competitive 5K event, your timing chip will be affixed to the back of your race bib. DO NOT REMOVE THE CHIP FROM THE BACK OF THE BIB. The chip is disposable so you do not need to turn it in after you finish your race.
