St. John Fisher College 2nd Annual Swigart 5K

Please join us on Sunday April 17, 2016 at 10:15am for a 5k (3.1 mile walk or run) to celebrate the life of Dr. Scott Swigart. Dr. Swigart was the founder and Dean of the Wegman's School of Pharmacy, where his legacy lives on in the students and faculty at WSOP. He fought a tough battle with pancreatic cancer that lasted through December 2014.

We want to show our support for Dr. Swigart and for pancreatic cancer research. Please join us or make a contribution to his legacy. Half of the proceeds go to the Pancreatic Cancer Association of Western New York and the other half to the Swigart Scholarship, received by one student each year at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.

START/FINISH
The race will start at the Joseph S Skalny Welcome Center on the St. John Fisher campus. After completing two loops around the main campus (see interactive course map), runners will finish the race at the Polisseni Track complex on the east side of campus.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at the Joseph S Skalny Welcome Center from 8:30am right up until the start of the race at 10:15am.

5K Student Registration .............. $12 / $17 after 4/15/16
5K Open Registration .................. $20 / $25 after 4/15/16

*The first 200 participants will receive a free race shirt!

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Join us after the race for the post-race celebration and awards ceremony where light snacks and refreshments will be served.

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking at the Welcome Center Lot A near the starting line. Runners may also elect to park at the Park & Ride (Lot F) a little closer to the finish line.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be presented to the top three overall male and female 5K finishers. The fastest male & female will also receive a St. John Fisher University shirt. The top male and female winners in each of the following age groups will receive a medal and all participants will be able to download a free finisher certificate from the results page on ITSYourRace.

14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
The race will feature a gun start and chip finish. Timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results will be updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
