Snowball Express 5K

WHAT:  3rd Annual Fort Worth Snowball Express 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1K Fun Run/Walk

Our runs are stroller & pet friendly - please just start at the back and stay away from the faster runners.

• 5K (Regular & At Packet Pickup, August 14-August  26) - $25
• 5K (Race Day, August 27) - $25

• FREE for Kids 12 and Under (no T-shirt included)

All proceeds and donations raised through this race, the Third Annual Fort Worth Snowball Express 5K, will go directly to support the children of our fallen Military Heroes who will be attending our annual gathering in the Fort Worth/ Dallas, TX area from December 11, 2016 through December 15, 2016.

Snowball Express is a DFW based non-profit that serves the children of our fallen military heroes. Our mission: Honor America’s fallen military service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice while on active duty since 9/11 by humbly serving the families they left behind. Champion their children’s future success by creating opportunities for joy, friendship, education, and communal healing, by connecting these families to one another.

This December Snowball Express will host the largest gathering in the world of Gold Star families of the fallen by bringing nearly 1,800 children and surviving parents to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area. These families will bond with spouses and children who have suffered a similar loss, and experience the realization that they are not alone in their grief and sorrow. We honor the memory of each of their fallen heroes, and show these families the love and gratitude of a grateful nation and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. This program also gives the host community an opportunity to show their support and let the families know they are loved and not forgotten.

With the support of our Presenting Sponsor, American Airlines, we are able to bring these families to DFW from across the nation. While we have tremendous in-kind support from American Airlines and other corporations, there is also a significant financial cost associated with gathering these children and their surviving parent or guardian for the 5-day program. Your support will help ensure these children will be able to attend this life changing experience.
