2018 Governor's School 5K

Hartsville, SC

The Mental Health 5K is a run in Hartsville, SC that supports the Darlington County Mental Health Association.

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, runners will take their marks to help end the stigma against mental health in Hartsville's own Mental Health 5K put on by the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics. Runners will embark on a journey through scenic Hartsville with prizes being awarded to the top finishers. Fret not, all proceeds from this run will be donated to support the Mental Health America of Darlington County as well as the Darlington County Mental Health Dance held every fall. The 2017 race raised over $1600, and our goal this is year is to hit the $2000 mark. With your help, we can help raise awareness for the support of mental health!

Registration will be open from January 22 through the day of the race. Please register by February 15 if you would like a t-shirt. The t-shirt will be included in your registration fee. The registration fee is $15.

We look forward to a great turn-out next March! If you have any questions, please email me at jlhuggins18@gmail.com, jhuggins18@gssm.k12.sc.us or email Dr. Alison Evans at evans@gssm.k12.sc.us.

Thank you,
