The 8th Annual Pirate 5K and Lil' Matey Race at Palencia offers an event for racers, families, runners, and walkers. Race, Run or Walk the 5K, which takes you through the beautiful, tree-canopied Palencia neighborhood. Awards are given out to the top three male and female winners in each age category. A One-Mile Family Lil' Matey Race takes place immediately after the 5K. All participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal for the fun run as well.

The Pirate 5K can be used as a qualifier for Jacksonville's Gate River Run!
Friday 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Palencia Club.
The 8th Annual Pirate 5K is hosted by the Palencia Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds from this event will go toward raising funds for classroom storage systems and outdoor educational spaces
