This new event takes place on Sunday March 11th at 12 noon in Kilsheelan.
The Kilsheelan 10 Mile road race will take place on Sunday 10th March at 11 am over a new route. All Race participants will receive a quality Free Reusable Coffee Mug. Kilsheelan playing its part in the protection of the Environment. The winner of the Men’s and Women’s race will each win 150 Euros. There are prizes for the 1st 5 Senior Men and Senior Women, there will be category prizes also for Women over 35, over 40, over 45, over 50, over 55, over 60 and over 65. For the Master Men there will be category prizes for Men over 40, over 45, over 50, over 55, over 60, over 65 and over 70. There is a total prize fund of 1500 Euros. The Early Bird Fee is 20 Euros plus booking fee up to the 28th February 2019 and from the 1st March to Race Day the fee will be 25 Euros plus booking fee. Showers available at Race Headquarters. There will be plenty of Spot Prizes for down the field finishers. The Race Headquarters is at the KPLan Community Centre.
Last year's race was won by David Mansfield (Clonliffe Harriers) in 53 mins 7 secs with Marie McCarthy (Farranfore AC) winning the women's race in 63 mins 39 secs.
