Alamo Run

Come out and join us Sunday, June 10th on this beautiful 5K & 10K run in Downtown Alamo (northwest corner of Danville Blvd & Stone Valley Road).
The 5K Run is a competitive and family friendly fun run...dogs welcome!  Parents with baby joggers and runners with pets are encouraged to sign-up for the 5K run.  The course begins at the Rubey Building parking lot (northwest corner of Danville Blvd & Stone Valley Road). Runners will head north on Danville Blvd to Hillgrade Ave. At Hillgrade the runners will turn west to the Iron Horse Trail (IHT) and runners will continue south on the IHT to the intersection of IHT and Stone Valley Road... the finish line. 

The 10K Run will start at the same time as the 5K Run and runners will continue the 5K course a second time.

Fees - 
Ages 12 & Under $25. / $30 race day
Ages 13 & Over $35. / $40 race day
Family package - includes 4 people $100. / $120 race day.
Fees include commemorative T-shirt (must register before May 23rd to be guaranteed a shirt size) and post race refreshments. 

Awards -
Overall male/female and top winners in age groups 9 & Under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+  Additional prizes include fastest baby jogger and fastest dog!

Race Day Schedule-
7:30 a.m. - Check-In and race day registration opens
8:30 a.m. - Start both 5K & 10K
Proceeds from this event benefit the youth education programs of the Mt. Diablo Peace & Justice Center. The Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center was founded in 1969 and has evolved into a community resource which encourages peaceful solutions to all conflicts and to promote justice & equality. These goals are developed through speakers’ forums, “The Peace Gazette” publication, youth programs which encourage tolerance, self-esteem, and mutual respect. Additionally, the Peace Center hosts the annual Dennis Thomas Art & Writing Challenge. Five hundred middle and high school students participate each year and use their creative skills in the fields of writing & the arts to consider contemporary social issues. The Center awards over $3,000 to the Challenge winners.
