Basketball legend and NBA all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will greet you at the 2018 Yoga & Jazz 5K at Depot Park. You don't want to miss this historical event for the entire family. At 7:00 a.m., Mr. Abdul-Jabbar will greet yogis, runners and walkers during the Sunrise Yoga class as the sound of LIVE JAZZ fills Depot Park. At 8:00 a.m., Mr. Abdul-Jabbar will give the hundreds of 5K participants a "pep talk" that will put them on their mark, get ready, set...GO! Create Teams and Register Early!
The Kids Fun Run starts at 9:00 a.m.
The excitement is building in
anticipation of the
Inaugural Yoga & Jazz 5K Run/Walk and Gala with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. What a great Father's Day gift!
Join At The WELLness Network and
its partners as will help encourage mindfulness, health and wellness through
music, yoga and the rhythm of breath. This fundraiser and
scholarship event will support the Yoga Is 4 Me 2 Project. This projects
provides yoga classes for children and families in our deserving communities at
the Gainesville Public Housing, The Boys and Girls Club, YouthBuild and through
a partnership with the Alachua County Public Library. Your support
will also provide funding for the Joe Cirulli Scholarship, awarded to an area college student
in the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions.
Come early and stay late to enjoy a
morning of music and child friendly actives in the picturesque Depot
Park. Vendors and food trucks will help to create a festive morning on
June 9th.
The 5K route begins and ends at Depot
Park in downtown Gainesville. The course is 100% asphalt with water provided at
1.5 miles and the finish line. A Course Map can be found at At The WELLness Network.org or on the right side of this page under course route.
Race Shirts:
Choose the Ladies "v-neck" or gents "crew-neck" selection.
Register now as your shirt size selection is only guaranteed when you register
by May 5, 2018. After that date, your shirt will be the closest available
size.

- Overall Open Male and Female winner will receive a pair of Tickets ($1000 Value) to the Yoga and Jazz Gala at 6pm at the UF Hilton where Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be the Keynote Speaker

40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Packet Pick-up:
Early packet pick-up is held at Gainesville Running and Walking Store, 3600 SW
Archer Road, Gainesville, FL., on Friday, June 8th from 10am-6pm and then again
on race day Saturday, June 9th starting at 6:30am until 7:45am, with
race day sign-up for $40.
