The 5th Annual Beacon College Navigators 5K Run/Walk
The 5th Annual Beacon College Navigators 5K Run/Walk will benefit the students at Beacon College, a nonprofit, private school noted as the first higher-education institution accredited to award bachelor's degrees primarily to students with learning disabilities, ADHD and other learning differences, where 70 percent of students graduate within 4 years and better than 80 percent within six months of graduation find worthy work or pursue post-graduate education.
Race Details
The run/walk course starts at Venetian Gardens. The course then follows the perimeter road that encircles Silver Lake and returns to Lake-Sumter State College.

Driving Directions:
From Beacon College (105 East Mainstreet)
Head east on Main St towards Elk Street
Turn right onto Canal Street
Keep straight into the Venetian Gardens (drive straight through Dixie Avenue)

RACE DAY INFORMATION
Day of Race Registration starts at 6:45am
Packet Pickup & Starting Line
(at MLK Island behind the Venetian Center)
5K Race starts at 8:00am
Award Ceremony at 9:15am
This is a rain or shine event. It will not be canceled due to bad weather.
PARKING
Parking is easy and free. There are 2 areas:
1) There is parking in Dozier Circle and near Pat Thompson Stadium. This is directly near the race site at 201 E. Dixie Avenue.
2) The large grassy area between Lake Shore Drive and Lake Harris Drive provides plenty of free parking.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top Three overall Male and Overall Female
And the first, second, and third place winners in the age groups that are listed for both male and female.
Age groups include:
13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Finisher medal and event shirt guaranteed for all pre-registered runners!
