The Monster Mile is a one-mile trail run open to all ages. Costumes are encouraged (there will be awards!!). The Trail Half Marathon/10K is a timed race with a 2-person relay team option for the Half Marathon.
All registered athletes will receive a T-shirt, Finishing Medal, and Swag
Starting this year, the Phantom Trail Race will be working with the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter to raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
All proceeds from the Phantom Trail Half Marathon 10k and Monster Mile will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association. Beginning September 1st, donations may be made on this site to the Alzheimer’s Association through their Longest Day campaign.
This is a 100% trail run, running through the Winding Trails Nature Preserve. It is a double loop course. The trails are not technical which makes it a good first time trail half marathon course. It will be a fast race for more experienced trail runners. There are some climbs and single tracks. Themed aid stations every three miles, with hydration and snacks, post race party with local food and beer. There are bathrooms at the start and finish area. This is a chipped timed race
Half Trail Marathon course limit: 4 hours
10K course limit: 90 minutes
One mile trail run for kids from 1 to 99 with awards for the best costumes. The race starts and finishes at the recently saves Walton Pond Project which houses fresh water fish, turtles, frogs and mussels.
