September is PAD awareness month. Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a chronic, circulatory condition, which if left untreated can result in unnecessary limb amputations. PAD affects
approximately 18 million US citizens, and 160,000 to 180,000 of those patients are estimated to undergo limb amputation this year. By supporting this 5k you will be showing support to the
PAD patient community and helping the public better understand the risks and treatment options for PAD. By saving limbs through increased awareness and access to care, we can also save
countless lives.
