A sunrise 5k to celebrate the SONRISE.
There is no greater reason to celebrate...for HE so loved us, he willingly gave his to save ours. In too many ways, our world is conflicted and divided. But the SON WILL RISE and WE WILL CELEBRATE. Join us at sunrise for the inaugural

WHEN: Sunday, April 21, 2019. Estimated start time will be 5:45a, however exact participant start times will be based on estimated finish time in an effort to have all finishers complete the 5k distance AT sunrise. Exact start times will be communicated to participants via email at least 1 week prior to the event.
WHERE: Clinton Twp., NJ Fitness Trail (across from North Hunterdon Regional High School) off Regional Road. Parking available at high school. 1445 NJ 31, Annandale, NJ 08801
WHY: because HE HAS RISEN. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Flemington Food Pantry and their efforts to serve those in need.
OTHER DETAILS: This will be unlike any 5k you've done before. The goal is NOT to PR, but instead to finish as a group..everyone...just as the sunrises. The race timing clock will be set to count-down (instead of up) and if you do it right, you'll arive at the finish line as the clock strikes zero, the sunrises and we will celebrate together in communion with on another, the SON RISE! Walkers will go off prior to runners, with speedsters bringing up the rear. The trails WILL get congested, but for once, the goal is not to pass your neighbor, but instead to lend a hand, share an encouraging word and finish together! Given the nature of the event, participants are encouraged to bring headlamps so as to stay on the trails. Trails are groomed and in open farm land (vs. woods / forest), however the race will occur in the dark, with a daybreak finish.
