5K For Forgiveness

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Due to the current situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we've unfortunately had to cancel this year's event. Refunds have been issued.

Please join us on Memorial Day May 25, 2020 along the southern shore of Lake Ontario for the 5K For Forgiveness Run/Walk. This professionally timed and managed event is only $10 right up until race day!

The Forgiveness Run aims to encourage us to face an issue that not only impacts our emotional well being, but also is vital to our physical well being. Studies show that unforgiveness weakens our immune system, effects the blood flow, and reduces the number of cancer fighting cells. It has been proven that the act of forgiveness is vital to your health. Sandy Arena, an entrepreneur, mother, writer, and survivor will be sharing her story of forgiveness.

Professional timing and finish line services will once again be provided and organizers are planning to have a food truck on site for those who wish to stay for lunch.

START/FINISH
The race will start and finish at the beautiful and scenic Lighthouse Christian Camp along the Lake Ontario shoreline in Barker. There will be a mid-point water stop on the course and fruit and bottled water will be provided at the finish line.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open until Sunday May 24th at 5pm . Race day registration and packet pickup will take place the Lighthouse Christian Camp from 8:30 pm right up until the start of the race at 10:00am.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Join us after the race for a post race celebration, awards ceremony. There will also be a food truck vendor on hand if you wish to purchase lunch. Race organizers will provide fruit bananas and water to participants after the race.

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking within walking distance of the start/finish line.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Gifts will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers and the top male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups will be recognized at the awards ceremony. Custom finisher certificates can be downloaded from the results page at your convenience after the race!

14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
