Note:  Arrive early!  Anyone entering through one of the Military Installation gates who does not have a Department of Defense (DoD) ID card, will need to provide two forms of ID and will need to complete a background check.  Suggested arrival time for those without a DoD ID is 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM

Prices:

Early Bird Registration - Team (SC/RX): $100 - October 9th - November 10th

Regular Registation - Team (SC/RX): $120 - November 11th - November 17th
Late Registration - Team (SC/RX) $140 - November 18th - November 20th

Limited spots are available (20 teams in each division), first come, first serve.  Last day to register for this event will be November 20th, 2019 at 11:59 PM.  No exceptions!

Refunds will not be authorized once registered nor will they be issued due to inclement weather or cancelation of the Oryx Games. Specific situations such as military deployment or medical emergency will be taken into consideration, however the team or individual must contact us directly and provide appropriate documentation for justification.  If inclement weather does happen, the Oryx Games will be moved inside Bell Gymnasium and restarted until complete.    


Details:


90% of this competition will occur outside throughout the daytime at the SGT. Pedro Track and Field located on White Sands Missile Range, NM.  We ask that you plan accordingly.  You are highly encouraged and allowed to bring/provide your own coolers/ice chests, shade canopies, chairs, food, water/recovery drinks and sunscreen, plus anything else necessary to keep you cool and relaxed during down times between your WOD's and out of the sun/elements.  As always, we cannot predict the weather for an outdoor event, it might be hot, it might be cold.  Please plan accordingly.  NO ALCOHOL.  NO GLASS.  Please do not bring any thing that is made of glass (ie. cups, bowls, bottles, plates, containers, etc...).  Trash cans will be provided on site.  Please do not make a mess or leave trash lying around.  Event Parking is free and located in the empty desert lot behind either the Southwest Goal Post of the track and field across the street on Rock Island Ave. or the Northeast Goal Post of the track and field across the street on Picatinny Ave.  Signs will be present directing you to the parking areas.  Please use the small soccer field above the main track and field to setup your canopies and areas to relax and recover between WOD's.

WOD 1:  WOD will be released Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 5:00PM

WOD 2:  WOD will be released Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 5:00PM

WOD 3:  WOD will be released Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 5:00PM

Floater WOD:  This WOD and its details will be announced the morning of competition day before WOD 1 starts.  Teams will have from the beginning of WOD 1 to the end of WOD 3 to perform and finish this WOD during the time between your scheduled heats.  You're required to complete this task, however the Floater WOD is not scored towards your overall score.  This will also be performed individually by each participant.  An individual award will be given out to the overall winner of the the Floater WOD.  Only one person can win this award.
 
Final WOD:  Double Triathlon.  This WOD will be announced on competition day.  Please check the requirements below for a hint.

WOD Requirements:

Scale Teams: Clean & Jerk 1RM: 165+ m / 100+ w, Power Snatch 100+m/70+w, Back Squat 1RM: 205+ m / 135lb + w, Front Squat 1RM: 185+ m /115+ w, Push Press 1RM: 135+ m /95+w, Jumping Pullups, Wall Walks (Nose to Wall), Wallballs, Heavy Single Unders, Hanging Knee/Leg Raises and 24"/20" Box Jumps. 

RX Teams:  Clean & Jerk 1RM min: 240+m/155+w, Snatch 1RM: 175+m /115+w, Back Squat 1RM: 300lb+ m / 205lb+ w, Front Squat 1RM: 275+ m / 185+ w, Push Press 1RM: 205+ m / 135+ w, Pullups, HSPU, Pistols, Bar Muscle Ups, Rope Climbs, Double Unders, Handstand Walk and Toes to Bar.
 

On top of the requirements above, each participant in all divisions will be required to perform the following movements:  Ride a mountain bike, swin at least 200 Meters (8 Laps)(SC)/400 Meters (16 Laps)(RX) in a 25M Swimming Pool, heavy tire flips, partner carry/firemens carry and sled push/sled drag.

Awards:                                                          

Top 3 teams in each male/female Scale and RX division will receive an award.

There will also be an award for the individual who finishes the Floater WOD the fastest.  This will be an individual activity that requires everyone to participate in during a down time between WOD's.  


Shirts:

If you register by Wednesday, November 13th, you will receive an event shirt.  Registrations after November 13th, May Not receive a shirt depending on quantities and sizes.  Please register now to ensure that you receive an event shirt.
