The Jacob Carroll Memorial 5K was established to honor Jake Carroll. Jake was killed in action on 11/13/10. Proceeds go to Patriot Rovers who train service dogs. They name a puppy after a fallen soldier and place them with a disabled veteran. The venue is at Linbrook Heritage Estates in Trinity, NC. Race start time 9:00am.
The Jacob Carroll Memorial 5K is a non-profit organization established in honor of Spc. Jacob Charles Carroll who was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan. This years race is on Nov. 9th beginning at 9am. The venue is located at Linbrook Heritage Estates in Trinity, NC. This location is one of the most beautiful races held in NC. Proceeds benefit Patriot Rovers. This organization trains service dogs for veterans who have physical and emotional needs. This is at no cost to the veteran. One of the special aspects of the Patriot Rovers is that they name the dogs after a fallen soldier. Each runner/walker receives a finisher medal. The top three runners/walkers in each age group receives a trophy. The overall male and female winner will receive a gift card and a new pair of Brooks running shoes. The overall male and female second and third place winners will also receive a gift card. In addition, there is a raffle for all registered runners/walkers and two lucky participants will be selected. Shuttle services will be provided from the parking lot to the starting location on the race.
