Our Turkey Trot benefits our local Friday Backpack Program.
The Friday Backpack Program provides supplemental weekend food for elementary students who are identified as
most in need by the school administrator(s). While children from low-income families receive nutritious meals during the school week as a part of the free/reduced meal program, the Friday Backpack Program fills an unmet need for the weekend when food is likely scarce at home.
Bud Jackson's Catering will be providing Turkey Chowder for this year's Turkey Trot. We will have a tent out in our fitness park for everyone to enjoy their food and stay out of the weather.
Registration sponsors for this year's event are Barreto Manufacturing Inc. and Nature's Pantry. Thanks to these amazing sponsors participants under the age of 12 and over the age of 65 will be provided FREE registration costs.
