Strides of Hope 5K and Kids Fun Run

Welcome to the first annual Strides of Hope 5k Run/Walk!

The Strides of Hope 5k will now be virtual! We have evaluated every possible option and determined that a “Virtual” Race is the best way forward for this year. While we are missing being together at once, the health and well-being of the community is our top priority. We have a great app to guide you through the run and will schedule a designated packet pick up on August 30^th if you want to run at the park and grab your swag!

• Who: All registered participants will be converted to a virtual option. Registration closes on August 18th.

• What: The race will be timed on the app Racejoy http://www.racejoy.net/ We will send you a link to download an app and record your race. There will also be a course for the kids run!
  Not a technical or app person? Just record your walk or run and send us your time. Just note that only those recorded on the app will qualify for the prizes.

• When: You have the option to run or walk between August 30th – September 7th. Sign up to pick up your packet on August 30^th at Heebner Park if you are interested!

• Where: We recommend planning your 5k or kid fun run at Heebner Park. There will be a course downloaded on your app! If this is not convenient for you, feel free to participate in your neighborhood, other parks, or on your treadmill.  The app will track your time!!!

• Why: To support the important mission of the Center for Loss and Bereavement. For 20 years we have served as a trusted non-profit organization that provides professional counseling, support services, and education for families, individuals, and organizations seeking resilient guidance and connection when confronting loss. Located in Skippack Village in Montgomery County, the Center offers a warm and safe atmosphere that allows for the expression and exploration of those thoughts and emotions associated with the grief process. At this time especially, we are bringing important programming to people confronting grief’s challenges in isolation, and we are creatively adapting our programming to reach more people over the course of this pandemic.  For more information, please visit our service pages on our website www.bereavementcenter.org/services
