The SCSEF MAD Dash 5K has been postponed to November 21st, but you can still have fun, get active,
and help our schools! Students, parents, staff, Grow Strong teams, family and friends -
WE NEED YOUR HELP!Our second virtual race takes place from
June 5 - June 14 and is a
1 Mile, 5K (3.1 mile) or
10K (6.2 mile) run or walk that you can do on your own outdoors or inside on a treadmill and
100% of the registration fees will go to the Surry County Schools Educational Foundation to help us provide enhanced learning opportunities for our teachers and students.
We know funds are tight for many right now, so we have set our registration fees at a very low price of just $10 for all races to make it affordable and encourage family participation.
Registration is just $10 for ALL RACES!
*An online processing fee will be added to the order at checkout.
How does it work?
There are 3 Easy Steps:
Register for a race between
June 5 - June 14. During registration you will choose a school TEAM to support. Surry County Schools Grow Strong team members should select your school's Grow Strong Team Name. You don't have to be part of Surry County Schools to participate - you can create your own team or run individually.
Get the Swag! When you register, you'll have the option to purchase Stay Strong race swag in youth and adult sizes for just $15 (2X and 3X are slightly more), including a race shirt, a commemorative race bib, and a rubber bracelet. Show your school pride and let everyone know Runners Stay Strong! Allow 7-10 days for delivery.
Step 2: Run or Walk the distance you registered for any time between June 5 - June 14 . You may run or walk outdoors or on a treadmill.
Step 3: Submit your Time
- Use the free "IYR Virtual" mobile app (available for iOS) which will track your run, notify you when you have completed your distance, and automatically upload your time into the race results.

- You can also time your run on your own (with a watch, GPS or an app like MapMyRun or Strava) and then manually enter your time in the race results. Using the IYR Virtual app just makes the process EASY!

Competitive awards will not be presented for this virtual run/walk, this is a fun activity to support Surry County Schools Educational Foundation.
