Fort Bend Boys Choir 5k Challenge with Bigfoot Social Distan-sing Champ!

Stafford, TX

Currently in year 2 of the COVID crisis, the performing arts world continues to struggle to get back on its feet. The loss of revenue from tuition, fundraising and performances has devastated many organizations around the world. Larger companies with corporate and governmental funding have been able to hang on but smaller, independent groups have not been able to weather this crisis and had to close their doors for good.

The Fort Bend Boys Choir is incredibly lucky … we are still singing, after a successful 2020-2021 season which included both Christmas and Spring Concerts and even a short mini-performance tour in the Dallas area this past June 2021.

We have been able to continue rehearsals, adhering to safety protocols, although membership is still smaller due to COVID fears. However, the Fort Bend Boys Choir has much to celebrate this 2021-2022 season ... it's our 40th anniversary so it's no wonder our motto for the year is:  40 Years ... Still Strong in Song!

Your participation in this virtual 5k through sponsorships, donations and registrations will help us keep our organization alive, allowing us to weather this COVID crisis until ALL of our choirboys are able to return! The Fort Bend Boys Choir has been “making a difference … one boy at a time” for almost 40 years. With your help, we will celebrate our milestone 40th anniversary and kick-off our 41st!

Participate in the Fort Bend Boys Choir’s Virtual 5k Challenge
Walk, Run, Skip, Hop, Skate, Bike or Whatever
Anytime, Anywhere from October 1 to October 23!

Is Bigfoot in your neighborhood these days? Participate in our virtual 5k challenge and try to find this Social Distan-sing Champ! Lace up those sneakers and take to the streets of your neighborhood, your local hiking paths or even nearby biking trails. Stay indoors and power up your treadmill or elliptical (although you won’t find Bigfoot that way)!

The Fort Bend Boys Choir is joining forces with Bigfoot to raise money for the organization’s music programs and support our mission* of “making a difference … one boy at a time.” We have never turned boys away due to financial reasons so fundraisers like this 5k challenge ensures that they have the opportunity to sing and practice their craft as well as build confidence and self-esteem.

Complete this virtual 5k challenge any time between October 1 - October 23, 2021! You can walk, run, jog, hop, skip, jump, skate, bike or whatever physical activity you choose – as long as you complete your 5k. Create a team, join family or friends or go solo … it’s up to you. Of course, it will be up to you to practice proper social distan-sing and safety while trying to spot Bigfoot during your 5k challenge. (For our non-metric folks, 5 kilometers equals 3.1 miles!)

Support the Fort Bend Boys Choir's four music programs and sign up today! Join Bigfoot - Social Distan-sing Champ!
