Puppy Creek Fire Dept Breast Cancer Awareness 5K

Raeford, NC

The Puppy Creek Fire Department is excited to announce the return of our 6th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K.

Sadly we were not able to hold the race last year due to COVID. We are very excited to be able to do it this year. We look forward to seeing the community come together for an amazing cause.

The 5K is a chance to get out for a jog with your neighbors, family and friends and raise money towards getting free breast exams, wig assistance and other breast cancer related opportunities for Hoke county residents who don't have the resources to do so. Our goal is to raise awareness of breast cancer and generate interest in donating some money and educating the public on breast cancer and ways to identify it and work through it. Cape Fear Valley Heath is a key member of our team, a partner organization and once again has graciously donated the start/stop and parking locations for the participants. We are excited to have Hoke County Sheriff's Office, and Hoke County EMS assisting with the event!

The 5K will take place on Oct 23, 2021. Shirt and bib pick up start at 730am. Race starts at 9am. Start/Finish will be located at the Cape Fear Valley Hoke Pavilion (rear entrance).
