We hope you will join us for our first-ever 5k as we raise funds for Franklin Education Connection! FEC is made up of two mentoring programs for Franklin students and the Education Foundation which awards grants to Franklin Community Schools’ teachers. Your participation in this event will have an even bigger impact on our organization thanks to a matching grant opportunity we have through the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations in which registration fees have the potential to be doubled!
The Go Grizzly Cub Run starts and finishes in the parking lot of Franklin Parks and Recreation (396 Branigin Blvd. Franklin, IN 46131). Professional chip timing. Overall and age group awards given for the 5k. Awards for all kiddos up to 6th grade! Plan to stay after the race for some Finish Line Fun with awards, face painting, kids’ activities, refreshments, and music, then plan to head over to Discover Downtown Franklin’s Hops & Vines festival later that evening!

Start Time: 9:00am
Registration/Packet Pick-Up opens at 7:30am on the day of the race in Province Park Shelter (down the hill from the parking lot)
Rain or shine (unless inclement weather)
This race is non-refundable because it is a fundraiser (if inclement weather, event will be rescheduled and all registration fees applied to rescheduled date)
Pre-register by 9/22/21 to guarantee a shirt
Limited quantity of shirts available after Pre-Registration deadline
Same-day Registration available (no guarantee of t-shirts)
Races are chip-timed. First place awards will be given in each age division for the 5k. This includes an overall race winner in male and female divisions.
5K begins at 9:00am with the 1-mile start time immediately following. Strollers are welcome.
Finish Line Fun begins immediately following races. Enjoy family friendly activities and fun as you await the race results!
