Join us for the Run for HOPE 5K!
Welcome to our 2nd Annual Run for HOPE 5K! We are excited to have everyone join us in person this year and look forward to having a fun-filled family event!
This year Prevention Works and the HOPE Chautauqua Coalition will be holding a family friendly day of activities to promote the importance of substance use prevention and mental health on May 7th, 2022 in Dunkirk, NY from 9:30a.m. – 2:00p.m.

SIGN-IN & PACKET PICK UP
$15 to register for youth 14 and under.
$30 to register for those 15+.
If registered by April 8th, you are guaranteed to receive a HOPE Chautauqua or Prevention Works t-shirt! A small quantity of extra shirts will be ordered and available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone.

START/FINISH
The race will start and finish at The Resource Center (TRC) in Dunkirk. Particpants will run/walk from TRC, down to Memorial Park and back up Lake Shore Drive all the way to Point Gratiot, and end up back at TRC. View map here.

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking in the parking lot behind The Resource Center and next door at the Hometown Insurance building.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Gift Cards will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in both age group categories.
14 and under and 15+.
1st place: $50 Amazon Gift Card
2nd place: $30 Amazon Gift Card
3rd place: $20 Amazon Gift Card
POST RACE
Stick around after the 5K to check out resource tables from organizations here in Chautauqua County and learn more about what's available in our area for substance use and mental health. There will be fun activities and prizes! Also, from 11:00a.m.-2:00p.m. there will be delicious Weidner's Chicken BBQ! $12/meal! Includes two sides and a roll with butter. Add on BBQ tickets with your 5K registration or preorder online at Eventbrite.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.
