26th Annual Jack O'Lantern Fall Classic

Join us on Saturday October 28, 2023 for the 26th Annual Jack O'Lantern Fall Classic being sponsored by Crown Benefits! This year we are excited to announce that the race is once again back on Goat Island now that all of the park improvements have been completed! As in the past, costumes are encouraged on race day!

Northpointe Council appreciates all who have participated in the Jack O'Lantern 5K for the past 26 years. All proceeds from this annual race enable the Council to provide high-quality, person centered prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery to those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions for adults and youth in our community.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. All race participants who register before 10/16/23 will receive a long sleeve race shirt. A small quantity of extra shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until gone. Race day registration and packet pickup will start at 8:30am near 3-Sisters Island and the race starts at 10am.

• 1.4 M Walk Registration ...... $25/$30 after 10/15/23 then $35 on race day

START/FINISH
Both the 5K Run and 1.5 mile walk will start and finish near 3 Sister's Island. The 5K course on Goat Island is officially certified as shown above. Those participating in the 1.5 mile walk will make one complete loop on the trolly path around Goat Island (1.55 miles total). We will start the 5K runners at 10am and we'll start the 1.5 mile walk participants about 5 minutes later!

PARKING
Participants are asked to park in the main lot located on the east end of Goat Island (closest to 3 sisters).

POST RACE LUNCH
Post race  food & snacks, along with the awards ceremony is being sponsored by Delaware North Services.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
$1,250 in prize money will be awarded to the the top 5 male and female 5K runners. Since all participants will be receiving custom finisher medals, male & female age group awards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will be announced and all runners can download free finisher certificates and finish line photos from the IYR results page.

1st Place Male & Female: $250

5th Place Male & Female: $50

10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
