New to the Showdown on the Plains - a 5k run/walk & kids’ 1 mile run hosted by the SFEC and SCHS Band! Follow up the race with a tasty plate of pancakes served by Chris Cakes – included in your registration fee!
The 5k course will begin near
the Spencer Flight and Education Center (SFEC) building at the Scott City airport, loop around the Spencer family
memorial walking trail via HWY 96 and Jefferson St., and return to finish in
the same location. Traffic control will
be provided including one-lane closure along the HWY. Water will be provided at the halfway point
and finish line. The 5k will include
chip-timing and both age and overall awards. It will start at 7 AM
The kids fun run will be a 1
mile loop around the airport grounds, beginning at 8 AM. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers
in two divisions – 8 & under and 9-12.
Registration for both events includes
a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast provided by Chris Cakes.
Registration prices through 8/31/14:
Register by August 31st to guarantee a t-shirt.

packet pick up: 6-6:45am @ the SFEC building.

additional packet pick up available Friday evening, September 5th, from
5-6pm at the SFEC. Avoid the early morning hassle and pick up your bib Friday
