AIM for the Coast this Fall and come to Rockport to participate in either a Run, Walk or Cycling event. AIM for the Coast is an event with your choice of a 2Mile Run-Walk, 5K Run-Walk, 9Mile Family Fun Bike Ride or 30Mile Bike Ride. Make a weekend of it and stay in town for the Rockport Film Festival. Come on down to Rockport this Fall but make sure you take AIM for the Coast.

Post Event:  L&F Distributing will be sponsoring the post-event festivities along with other supporters.  L&F Distributing will be providing the goody bag, event swag and a photo backdrop for all registered participants.  In additions, for those 21 and Over, L&F will be donating free beer (limit 3 per registered participant).  For those 21 and Under, other drinks will be available.  There will also be snacks and music for all participants.  You may also wish to participate in our event expo being held inside the air conditioned pavilion on the beach.

Post Event Concert:  Everyone is invited to attend the free music concert immediately after the event.  Those of you not participating in the event are encouraged to bring your own ice chest and lawn chairs for the concert.

After Party Saturday Night: (5pm to 10pm)
Free Admission.  Everyone is again invited to an after party at Rusty's Tropical Grill & Bar. Rusty's is located at 115 South Fulton Beach Road, Fulton, TX 78358.

Youth 12 and Under who register in person at the AIM Hospice Office by Thursday, October 30, receive a complimentary ($Free) registration.  The AIM Hospice Office is located at 703 E. Concho Street, Rockport, TX 78382.  Normal office hours are 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.

All Youth are guaranteed a shirt if they register by Wednesday, October 15, 2014.  Guaranteed shirt applies to all Youth online and Youth In Person registrations.

Local sponsors have been generous enough to provide free youth registrations if you register In Person at the local AIM Hospice office.  You must register in person by October 30, 2014.

Cancellation / Refund Policy:  This is a fundraiser event so no refunds will be provided and no cancellations will be accepted.  If the event or a part of the event is cancelled due to weather, we will still have the post-event food and drink.  Thank you for your understanding.

5K Run-Walk: Overall Male and Female, Overall Masters (40+) Male and Female and Overall Grand Masters (60+) Male and Female Plus 1st / 2nd / 3rd Age Group Awards for Male and Female.

2Mile Walk: Male and Female 1st / 2nd / 3rd place.  No Age Group Awards for Walkers.

9Mile Bike:  Male and Female 1st / 2nd / 3rd place

30Mile Bike: Male and Female 1st / 2nd / 3rd  place.

Shirts: Tech shirts for this event.  Registrations by October 20 will receive a shirt.  Registrations after October 19th MAY receive a shirt.  Shirt size not guaranteed but we will do our best!

Aid Stations:  The 30Mile Bike Ride will have at least one aid station at approximately the half way point.  Please be prepared with any necessary supplies you may need for your ride.  Bike support will be available the morning of the event for minor adjustments to your bike.  A sag vehicle will support both bike rides for those unable to finish the event.

Packet Pickup:
Corpus Christi - Thursday, October 30 from 4pm to 7pm at Bay Area Bicycles.  Bay Area Bicycles is located at 6020 SPID, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.  Bay Area Bicycles is located in the Gulfway Shopping Center at the intersection of South Padre Island Drive and Airline.  If you cannot attend packet pickup, please send some one to pickup your packet.

Rockport - Friday, October 31 from 12Noon to 6pm at the Rockport Art Center.  The Rockport Art Center is located at 902 Navigation Circle, Rockport, TX 78382.  The Rockport Art Center is located near the intersection of State Highway 70 and State Highway 35 just West of Rockport Beach.

Registration will be available at Packet Pickup for an additional charge.  Register now and $ave. If you are unable to attend Packet Pickup on Thursday or Friday, Race Day Packet Pickup will start at 7:30am on Saturday.

Race Day Registration:  Saturday, November 1 starting at 7:30am.  Registration will Close at 8:30am so please arrive early if you are going to register.  Register now and $ave.

Timing:  Pendgo Timing will time all four events; the 2Mile Run-Walk, 5K Run-Walk, 9Mile Bike and 30Mile Bike using the most state of the art equipment.  For the 9Mile and 30Mile Bike Ride you will be issued a disposable helmet chip.  For the 2Mile and 5K, you will be issued a disposable timing chip attached to your race bib.

You will not be asked to stand in a long line the morning of the event waiting for a volunteer to hand you a chip.  You will also not be chased down after you finish your event by volunteers trying to cut-off your chip.  Pendgo Timing is a local company that hires local people who live and work in your community.

Note:  Children 3 and under do not need to register.  Children who do not need to register MUST BE accompanied by an Adult (18 and Over) on the event.  Families including children in strollers are invited to participate in the 2Mile Run-Walk and 5K Run-Walk.  For the safety of all participants, we ask that those with strollers start at the back of the pack for the Run-Walk.  Families are also invited to participate in the 9Mile Bike Ride: Child Seats and Tandem Bikes welcomed.

Event Sponsor:  AIM Hospice located in Rockport, Texas is more than traditional healthcare. Hospice and palliative care programs provide pain management, symptom control, psychosocial support, and spiritual care to patients and their families when a cure is not possible.  Hospice and palliative care combines the highest level of quality medical care with the emotional and spiritual support that families need most when facing the end of life.

Since November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, hospices across the country are reaching out to raise awareness about important care issues for people coping with life-limiting illness. As part of the awareness effort, AIM Hospice will host this community event.  This event is being held to raise awareness and help people learn more about hospice and palliative care.
