Goodwill 5K/10K Spring Sun Run and Walk

Corpus Christi, TX

As one of South Texas's premier race events, The Goodwill 5K/10K celebrated its 28th year on Saturday, March 7, 2015. The largest of Goodwill’s yearly fundraising activities, the Goodwill 5K/10K is vital in funding employment and training programs, serving more than 5,000 South Texans with disabilities or other barriers to employment in 2014. The 2015 event was a major success raising over $36,000 for Goodwill's programs and we project another record breaking attendance in 2016.

Thank you to our 2015 sponsors!

Timing:
Pendgo Timing will provide chip timing for the 5K and 10K race event.  Pendgo Timing uses the most state-of-the-art equipment.  Pendgo Timing uses a small patented foam covered disposable bib chip instead of a shoe chip.  Since the bib chip is disposable, you will not be asked to stand in a long line the morning of the event waiting for someone to hand you a shoe chip.  You will also never be chased down after the event by someone trying to cut-off your shoe chip.  Pendgo Timing is a local company that hires local people who live and work in your community.

About Goodwill Industries of South Texas Inc.:
Although many still associate the name "Goodwill" almost exclusively with our store and donation operations, Goodwill is actually so much more than a great place to drop off donations and shop. Revenue generated from the sales of donated goods helps fund Goodwill's employment programs for people with disabilities or those who have other challenges to finding employment. Goodwill provides a variety of job training opportunities, including resume reviews, mock interview, and sessions on dressing for success.  These services are free of charge to the program participant.  In addition, Goodwill provides support services so that people can ensure stability both at home and in the workplace.  These services may include financial literacy, case management, and tax preparation services for individuals who qualify.  To learn more, please visit: GoodwillSouthTexas.com
