The Corpus Christi Triathlon Club Youth Splash & Dash is an Aquathlon event. Aquathlon is a fun and fast-growing sport that combines running and swimming. This event is part of the 2015 USA Triathlon Youth Splash and Dash Aquathlon Series and is open to athletes ages 7 to 15. This event is designed for athletes who are getting into the multisport lifestyle. This event is a cost-effective way to prepare you for a Youth Triathlon.

Junior Youth Splash & Dash - 100 Yard Swim, 1K Run for Ages 7 to 10
Senior Youth Splash & Dash - 200 Yard Swim, 2K Run for Ages 11 and 15
Age will not be determined by USAT rules. Age will be determined based on the event date. For this event, your racing age is determined as of March 28, 2015. If you are between the ages of 7 and 15 based on the event date of March 28, 2015, you may participate in this event.
Awards:
Junior Youth - Overall Male / Female (7 to 10) and 1st / 2nd / 3rd Male and Female for the following age groups:
(7 to 8), (9 to 10)
Senior Youth - Overall Male / Female (11 to 15) and 1st / 2nd / 3rd Male and Female for the following age groups:
(11 to 12), (13 to 15)
All Finishers will receive a Medal!
Swim Course:
The swim will be held in the heated outdoor Community Center Pool. The swim will be an individual time trial start with the order determined on the morning of the event. Athletes will enter the water and be started by the Timer at an interval of approximately every 20 seconds.

One Day USAT Membership:
You MUST be covered by USAT supplemental insurance to participate in Aquathlon; NO Exceptions. You are covered by USAT insurance if you are a member of USAT. If you are not a member of USAT, you must sign-up for a one day membership to USAT. The one day membership for USAT is INCLUDED in the event registration fee for Youth ages 7 to 15. If you are not a USAT member, you can sign-up for your one day membership on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Packet Pickup.
Packet Pickup:
Packet Pickup will be held on Friday, March 27 at Bay Area Bicycles from 11am to 6pm. Please make note of the end time for Packet Pickup: 6pm. Bay Area Bicycles is located at 6020 SPID, Corpus Christi, TX 78412. Bay Area Bicycles is located in the Gulfway Shopping Center at Airline and SPID.
Remember to bring your USAT membership card to packet pickup if you are a member. If you do not have your USAT card with you at packet pickup you will be required to sign-up for a one day USAT membership to obtain your packet. You must bring a Parent or Legal Guardian with you to packet pickup since they MUST sign the paper waiver and release form. If you do not have a Parent or Legal Guardian with you, you will NOT be allowed to pickup your packet. No Exceptions.
