On May 1, 2016 come race your bikes on the gravel roads of Wilson Creek and pedal 100 miles of dirt road with 8000+ feet of climbing." The Bootlegger 100 promises to tear away at every fiber of your being. A 100 mile competitive journey through the gravel roads in the mountains of Western NC, including the famous Maple Sally. Come join your friends for a day on the bike that will create a lifetime memory!" The race starts and ends in downtown Lenoir, North Carolina. After escaping the city you are rapidly immersed in the back woods of 'shine country. From rolling hills to punishing climbs and quick descents, the Revenuers will be on your tail. Hide your whiskey well and keep the pedal to the metal.
If 100 Proof (Miles) burns the throat a bit then opt for our fantastic 60 Proof (100 Kilometer) route!
Still want to be able to drive home?? opt for the 60 Proof route giving you a stout swig and at 4600 ft of climbing it gives you roughly the same elevation per mile as it's big brother.
