Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals

Wheaton, IL

The Cosley Zoo 35th Annual Run for the Animals is hosted by the Cosley Foundation to raise funds for the development and renovation of exhibits at Cosley Zoo.

The first 2,500 runners receive a long-sleeve tech t-shirt.  Post-race includes music, awards and refreshments. Please check back for a detailed race description, map of the race route, partnership information, and more.

Registration on Race Day: 5K/10K registrations accepted from 6-7:15am;  Zippity Zoo registrations accepted from 6-8:30am.

Packet Pick Up: Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 2 (8A to 8P)
Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard, Wheaton, IL 

 

Please note: For participant’s safety, NO bicycles, in-line skates, strollers, other-wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs or other accessibility devices). Animals are also NOT permitted on the race course or in Memorial Park (except for service animals). All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Members can utilize the fitness center for their Cross Training days. Not sure you want to join yet, try us out. If you are a Wheaton Park District resident take advantage of your FREE DAY to workout (available once/year) and ask about how you can make it a FREE WEEK! Also, take advantage of stretching sessions Saturday mornings in May!

 

The Run for the Animals is CARA Certified & a CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit Race

This race has applied for and received the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) designation as a CARA CERTIFIED RACE. This race has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines. These Guidelines embody the highest standards for quality, safety, and comfort for participants in a road race.
