Description:

Join us for this special 5K benefiting Casey's Safe Haven, a holistic horse rescue located in Elburn.  Start off the morning with a 5K (walk or run) and visit with the horses at the race site. Our route takes us through LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve along a beautiful trail.  All participants will receive a Drawstring Backpack, finishers medal and goodie bag!  Save your race bib - Wise Guys Pizza in South Elgin is offering a complimentary 10" pizza when you show your race bib!

Course description:

Our route takes us through LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve and along the Great Western Trail.  Enjoy the beauty and nature during this run!

Directions to start:

Our starting line will be at the large pavillion in LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve and will be clearly marked on race day.

Parking:

Parking is allowed in the Forest Preserve with the exception of the Creek Bend Nature Center.  No parking along the roads in the Forest Preserve, parking in designated spaces only.

Awards info:

Finishers medals to all adult and youth participants.  Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male & female winners receive a winners pin. Certificates will be given to winners in 5 year age increments starting at 9 years and younger up to over 80 years.
