There's nothing quite like mashing up a ripe avocado and whipping up some homemade guac! 

  • 4 avocados pitted (set the pits aside, don't throw them away)
  • Half of a small red or white onion
  • Half of a large tomato
  • Half of a jalapeno (seeds removed, unless you want it extra spicy)
  • 1 TBSP of lime juice
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: black beans or thawed frozen corn 

1. Cut up the onion, tomato and jalapeno. Set aside. 

2. Mash the avocados in a large mixing bowl. 

3. Mix in the onion, tomato, jalepeno, lime juice, garlic salt, salt, and pepper.

Serve immediately or refrigerate. 

TIP: Put the pits back in the guacamole, it's suppose to help slow down the browning process.
