4.5 Miles of March Madness

Get Outside - Escape the treadmill- Join us for 4.5 Miles of March Madness on March 7, 2014.  The race will begin and end near Fish Hatchery in Allentown.


The Goods: Each runner will receive a long-sleeve tech-shirt (Guaranteed if registered by February 20th)

The Run: 

The race will begin and finish on the Lehigh Parkway path by the Fish Hatchery.  The race will go up the path crossing the first bridge over the Little Lehigh and continuing up to the Robin Hood Bridge.  Runners will cross the Robin Hood Bridge and return to the path heading back down to the Start/Finish line along the opposite side of the Little Lehigh.  The course has some hills and is mostly gravel with some paved sections of the course.

Prizes: Awards to top male and female finisher and age group awards will be given 3-deep. Everyone has a shot at the raffle prizes! Must be present at awards ceremony to win. The awards ceremony will take place as soon as possible following the last finisher.

Age Groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Series Points: 1 point awarded for PAIR of SOCKS donated.  We are working with Ian’s Box of Socks to help him on his quest to help provide socks to the homeless students within the Allentown School District.  Click Here to Check out Ian’s quest!  Each runner can earn up to 10 points for donations. 2 points to top overall male and female and 1 points to top 10% of males and females.  Age groups points – 3pts for 1st, 2pts for 2nd, 1pt for 3rd

Other Fun Stuff: We will have music to help keep the fun atmosphere.  There will be water and snacks provided for after the race.

The event is rain or shine.  Run Lehigh Valley reserves the right to cancel and/or alter the race in the event that natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstance prevents us from holding the race safely as planned. We will make every attempt to hold the event.  Any cancellations or changes, will be noted on the home page, race-specific page and on facebook.
