The Waxahachie Running Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that promotes running and walking in Ellis County, which is south of Dallas, TX. We are a friendly, family-oriented group that welcomes all levels; from beginners in our Couch to 5k training program up to competitive marathoners, ultra-marathoners and trail-runners.
On May 7th, 2016, we are joining with the Waxahachie Lion's Club to host a Hachie 50-mile, 50k, 26.2 mile marathon & 50-mile running relay. This year's event will benefit the Waxahachie Lions Club, which supports local children and schools in Ellis County.
The race is held in Waxahachie's Getzendaner city park that is mostly closed to traffic. Course is 90% on concrete sidewalks, 10% dirt/gravel. This is a beautiful, FAST, FLAT & Tree-lined out-n-back course!
We will have custom, dry-fit t-shirts for participants; custom hand-made wooden medals; free online race photos; and lots of food and drinks during and after the event. Awards will be given to Men's and Women's 1st, 2nd & 3rd over and Masters in each non-team event.
