Annual fun charity 1.2 and 2.4 mile Open Water Swim event for swimmers to make a measurable difference in childhood drowning by raising money to provide swim lesson scholarships for at-risk youth in our communities.

The Event:
Our charity open water swim takes place at the beautiful Lake Jocassee in Northern South Carolina. Swimmers have an option to swim a 1.2 or 2.4 mile open water swim. All proceeds go the support scholarships for at-risk youth in our communities.
Where: Lake Jocassee - Salem, South Carolina
Lake Jocassee is a 7,500-acre, 300-foot deep reservoir located in northwest South Carolina created by the state in partnership with Duke Power in 1973. The lake is commonly known for the clean and cold Appalachian mountain rivers that feed the lake to keep its waters cool and clear year-round. The Jocassee Dam, which forms the lake, is 385 feet high and 1,750 feet long. The lake is home to Devils Fork State Park.

Two Course Options: 1.2 mile and 2.4 mile
The event will start at Devils Fork State Park. The course will be an out and back course for both the 1.2 and 2.4 mile swim. Buoys will mark the course and kayaks and boats will be on the course.
