Come get down down and dirty in the fight against cancer. META-Mudder is a fundraising event to raise funds for METAstatic Cancer & Support.
Come out on Sunday, August 20 for the META-Mudder Neuse River Mud Run along the Neuse River. Join forces in the fight against Metastatic Breast Cancer. This is New Bern's first Mud Run.
The course will feature 10 fun, yet challenging obstacles running 5K of open & wooded land, utilizing a large water feature in the center of the property.
When registering you will sign up for a specific wave start time. There are waves every 15 minutes. The first wave is for ELITE athletes only.
Form a team and run the race together, helping each other over the obstacles! (Teams must have at least 4 members and finish together to be eligible for team awards.)
Wave sizes are limited, so sign up early for your choice of waves.

We support our troops! Military members are invited to register with a 10% discount. This is on the honor system, so please do not sign up for the Military discount if you are not active duty military or a military veteran.
In addition to the 5K mud run there will be a Munchkin Mudder division for the kids. The Munchkin Mudder will be the last wave of the race and the kids will each get a finishers' medal. We suggest that parents who want to participate in the main event register for a later wave time (so you won't have to wait for hours until the kids run).
There will be awards ceremony & refreshment on the race site immediately following the race. Post race party will be later in the day at Bear Town Market in downtown New Bern (more details to come.)
The 1st Annual META-Mudder is raising funds for METAvivor, a thriving community of people living against the odds every day, fighting for the research that could save our lives. METAvivors are individuals living with metastatic breast cancer. Because of the differences in lives, experiences, research & support, we are not cancer "survivors." We are METAvivors. We want to change the fact that although 30% of all cancers will metastasize, only 2% of research dollars go to studying metastatic cancer.
